The path to go-live

Choose your path

Select the offering you enrolled in through Vendor Bridge.

Time & attendance on the tablets you already own. Four steps from enrollment to your first punch.

1
Day one · Enroll

Enroll through Vendor Bridge

Go to Reports and Tools on @Chick-fil-A, click the Vendor Bridge link, then find the LIFELENZ card and select Enroll. Enrolling through the LIFELENZ card starts the process to create (or update) your LIFELENZ account.

  • Select your start date during enrollment. This sets your first punch date, and your onboarding timeline works back from it
  • Sign the Participation Agreement. Your enrollment isn't complete until it's signed
  • Your Restaurants are set up for you
  • You'll receive your login for admin.lifelenz.com
  • No integration work needed on your side to get started
2
Week one · Your team at LIFELENZ

Meet your Onboarding Specialist

A LIFELENZ onboarding specialist guides your deployment end to end, and you're never more than a message away from help.

  • Weekly office hours: book a 30-minute session with the LIFELENZ team whenever you need to work through urgent items
  • In-app messenger: ask the LIFELENZ Helper bot for instant product answers; the LIFELENZ team picks up anything it can't solve
  • Support: technical issues go to support@lifelenz.com, first response within 48 hours
3
Week one · Permissions & training

Set up your team and take the in-app training

Your managers need Shift Manager permissions or above before they can access training and set up LIFELENZ features. It takes a minute per person:

  • Open Business Settings (gear icon) → People → People List
  • Click the circle in the Shift Manager column next to each manager. A blue check-mark confirms it
  • Levels: Group Administrator (full rights), Schedule Manager (schedules & forecasts), Shift Manager (training & Time Clock setup)
  • Managers then log in at admin.lifelenz.com to begin their guided in-app training, with full courses at courses.lifelenz.com
4
Weeks 1–2 · At the clock

Set up the Time Clock

The Time Clock runs on tablets you already own (iPad or Android). Setup is four steps, and your onboarding specialist walks you through each:

  • Manager registration: register via mobile, then log into LIFELENZ on a computer
  • App installation: download the LZ Time Clock app on your tablet
  • Device provisioning: enter credentials and your store number
  • Test & review settings: punch thresholds (default 5 minutes), break tracking for your state, and which actions require manager approval
Keep scheduling in HotSchedules. Published shifts flow into LIFELENZ so the Time Clock knows who's due in. If you use a different scheduling tool, Team Members clock in through the unscheduled-shift workflow, and your specialist will help you set it up.
Plan ahead: complete your setup at least 2 weeks before your first punch date so everything runs smoothly from day one.

Everything in Timekeeping, plus AI forecasting and Auto-Optimized Scheduling. Six steps from enrollment to your first AI-built schedule.

Choosing LIFELENZ scheduling automatically opts your restaurant out of HotSchedules on your scheduling date. Allow at least 2 weeks between enrolling and your scheduling date; we recommend 3–4 weeks.

Days 1–2 · Onboarding Wizard

Complete your Onboarding Wizard

Only for new to LIFELENZ subscribers

About 24–36 hours after you enroll, your Onboarding Wizard opens and you'll get an email letting you know it's ready. It tells LIFELENZ how your restaurant runs:

  • Business hours and dayparts
  • Roles and role sequences
  • Minimum staffing levels
Finish it within a couple of days. Your forecasts and labor models take about 5–6 days to build once the wizard is complete.

Moving from HotSchedules? HotSchedules keeps feeding your schedules into LIFELENZ until your scheduling date. New hires stop flowing to HotSchedules once you enroll, and employee availability isn't imported, so plan to enter it in LIFELENZ before go-live.
6
Go-live · Forecasting & Scheduling

Set up forecasting and post your first schedule

If you're coming from HotSchedules, Scheduling and Compliance switch on on your scheduling date. Before go-live week, your specialist helps you prepare the building blocks:

  • Create patches (store groups) to organize locations, supervisors and permissions
  • Add school calendars so minor-labor rules apply automatically
  • Set fixed hours guides and manager schedule templates
  • Create and post your go-live week schedule

From there, Auto-Optimized Scheduling takes over week to week:

  • Check compliance & fair scheduling, then submit and approve the plan
  • Approve the AI forecast built from your own sales history
  • Run AOS with your template, then review, adjust and publish to your team

Stuck at any step?

  • Ask the LIFELENZ Helper in the in-app messenger for instant answers, with the team behind it
  • Book weekly office hours with your onboarding specialist for anything urgent
  • Email support@lifelenz.com, first response within 48 hours
